US health insurance in The Netherlands

You need to look at the conditions attached to your US health insurance policy or give the company a call. Many providers provide limited cover for travel as standard, but don't count on it. It is likely this cover will only be for serious illness or accidents, so if you are planning on living in Holland you might want to consider getting coverage as you still may need to go to the doctor or require medical procedure. Getting cover may well be cheaper than having to rush back to the States for treatment.
