A lottery scam held in the United States--American Direct Sweepstakes is using people in Costa Rica to collect the elderly people's money. They apparently are using a high profile insurance agent by the name of Guillermo Chavaria Montero at 1892 Central Ave, Rm. 11 in San Jose, Costa Rica. This is just unbelievable...nothing can be done because the money has left the jurisdication of the united states. I hope someone out there can help.
I believe that my father is a victim of a Costa Rica scam. He has sent them over 12,000 in a period of 1 1/2 weeks and they claim that he will receive $450,000 of unclaimed sweepstakes money. They show calls from Washington and all of the money has been sent to Costa Rica via moneygrams.
