Proposal for a Nursery Grant

My name is Nomfundo Gqadu I am 33 yrs old from South Africa; I am also a qualified child councilor and have been involved with children at all levels including Sunday school and Girl Guide. As a mother with three children I have a tremendous passion for the well being and up bringing of children. I therefore have decided to further my studies in this field as a child psychologist through Intec College. I’ve been running a day care from home, due to financial problems I couldn’t manage to maintain the best service as I intended. That left me with no option but to get a job. At the moment I am working as a call centre agent. I spoke with the CEO of the company concerning my dream then he said he is willing to help I should look for a premises and market myself. I did as he advised me, I managed to get 55 kids from our offices with a target of 100 kids, and I went back to him with the figures of the premises the quotations, the list of kids and business plan. In such a DISAPPOINTMENT to me and the parents of those kids. I cried and dust up my self saying I won’t quit my dream one day there will be some one to here me out and help me to fulfill it. Those parents still put their faith in me. My dream is to establish a daycare centers for parents working in companies that don’t have the facilities to accommodate them.
Aim:
As mothers we find it difficult to be working and at the same time having a quality time with our children, let alone housework and attending to our husband’s needs, not all of us can afford to leave our jobs and take care of our children, as we desire. This is one of the main reason we see a need to maintain a relationship between a mother or father and a child by bringing children where parents spend their most precious time at (work).
A) Goal:
1. Making sure mothers are at work on time.
2. Mothers do not stay away from work due to sick child.
3. Make sure there is a reliable baby sitter who is there even on weekends and during school holidays and that enable the mother to work more or longer hours.
4. Mothers can still breast feed their babies during their lunchtime.
5. In case of emergency a child can be attended immediately.
6. Mother’s mind will be at ease that means their performance will improve and they can meet the company’s required target.
7. Finally we will be creating jobs for other mothers to be able to support their families.
