Being a citizen of Russia got a job offer and plan to move to Dubai. Interested if there are many russians, who permanatly live and work in Dubai (not tourists). Would be glad if someone would write me back and clears the following:
What is the price for OK 1-bedroom/studio in Dubai (where expats live).
How much money would go for food/transportation/essential things.
Dubai is a global city, mixed community, and the largest expanding city in the world!
Being Russian isn't a hassle, I assume it all depends on what u want! the kind of job u are looking for.
There are alot of Russians in Dubai, I've seen even Shops labeling in Russian language on their front doors, however, its not the style of life that Russians prefer! One can always find what he wants when he really wants to, prove you are capable and you will have it.
Accomodation in Dubai is expensive, an OK bedroom, to a studio apt. would cost around 800$-1000$ and above monthly!

Usually prices will appear in K(annual), but that can be calculated monthly! the most difficult part is FINDING a room esp without a car!
You are lucky if you can handle accomodation through your job contract (supplied by your employer).
You could find cheap-expensive prices for clothes, and esssentials, depending on what u want! in average, it costs me 3000 AED, 800$ monthly to manage my expenses (I have a car too)!
3000$ salary is acceptable(11000 AED) for a salary!
