*I am planning to move to Dubai next month. Kindly do me a favour and suggest some good properties to buy. My budget is approx AED 10000-11000. I came across an agency called DMC Propertiesonline. Spoke to them briefly today and they seem to really know the “buy” market. I think I will just go with them, or are there any other suggestions?James Smiths23 Feb 2008, 06:03 - Report

Hi - My husband and I are moving to Dubai in 2 months time for work. I work within the Advertising industry on Jumeriah beach rd.
I have been advised that Dubai Marina is the best place to rent. However, was wondering whether you have any other options and ideas.
We would like somewhere furnished, either apartment or villa (swimming pool?) and of quite a nice standard. 1 or 2 bedroom.
Ideally paying no more than $120000AED. Your help would be greatly appreciated and you can contact me at

Thank you in advance for reading and responding to my querry. I am potentially moving to dubia in the near future and am trying to determine if my housing allowance is sufficient for my needs.
My office will be at the Crowne Plaza on Sheikh Zayed Road and I would prefer to live close to the office. I will need to RENT a 2 bedroom Villa or apartment (open to either) and my allowance will be roughly 12,000 UEA per month.
Can someone give me some feedback as to whether or not this is a sufficient allowance for my needs? If you need additional information or suggestions, I can be reached at .
Thank you kindly.Bob (American)06 Aug 2008, 02:59 - Report -

Hi,
I'm a SouthAmerican (Uruguayan) who is going to Dubai next December (from 19 to 24th).
I think of staying in the Youth hostel but I'm not sure they'll have a room there (they don't take reservation until 20 days before!)
Now... after reading some comments in the forum I'm totally horrorised!!!! The main reason it's because I don't have enough money to pay a luxury hotel and I'm not sure there's gonna be space in the hostel!.
So... I would like to ask you if you know it's possible just to land and try to find a cheap hotel there, instead of assuming that I'll find a place in the hostal. In some countries you can do that but I'm not sure you can do that in Dubai and in December. Could you give me a hand?
Thanks a lot !!!!
Erich.
