work visas for us

We are a US software services company. We build software solutions for our customers, mainly using our own staff (employees) in India.

We are closing a deal with Nakheel for a software project where some of the work will take place in Dubai.

We don’t have a legal presence in Dubai yet, but plan to deliver our services through local partners.

We will have our own employees, who are on our payroll and who we pay a salary to directly, working in Dubai. We will pay their salaries directly, and not through a local partner.

1. One of our local partners will sponsor our staff in Dubai. Some may only need to work for a few days. Some will need to work for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. Some will want to be accompanied by their families. What sorts of permits do we need for our staff to work for us in Dubai?

2. We have heard of the Mission Work Permit (and it is listed in the FAQ section of your website). This is a new work permit. Is this suitable in our situation and what is the procedure to follow?

3. Can we send our staff to Dubai on a vistors visa, and then apply for work permits while they are in Dubai on visit visa?
