EU citizens moving to France:

In the past, EU nationals were required to apply for a residence permit to stay in France for longer than 3 months. Such permits no longer apply to certain nationals of the EU. However, registration at your local Mairie, may become obligatory in the future.

The legal age of consent in France is 18; girls aged between 15 and 18 can be married with the consent of at least one parent, but the government is planning to abolish this concession. Non-French citizens are entitled to be married in France, but divorcees and widows must wait 300 days after their divorce or the death of their spouse before being allowed to remarry (in case of pregnancy).

Citizens of Schengen countries can cross the internal borders of EU member states without passport checks. A visa granted by a country of the Schengen area entitles the holder to visits of up to 90 days every 6 months in the entire Schengen area.
