• My elderly mother in law is German and is coming to the US for a minimum 90 day stay. Is her government health insurance good in the US and is there a supplement we could purchase to make it more comprehensive or extend it past 90 days?

  • A government health insurance is normally valid for tourist stays abroad, 3 months should therefore be fine. However, it might make sense to add an extra private insurance for this time which also covers flights back in case of sickness. Best is to confirm directly with the insurance company.
