Anyone have online shopping experience in HK before?

  • I'm an expat that just moved to HK from the California a month ago, and was wondering what are some of the site you use to shop online?

    Ebay.com and Amazon.com?

Ebay is kinda sketchy and most sellers don't have return policies or insurance. Definitely check the seller's ratings.

Try www.tarazz.com, I use it to access Amazon, the benefit being I browse and pay for items all in HKD and they ship to HK.

    Cheers

I heard my friend talk about Tarazz as well. He bought a tagheur watch from Tarazz and it came with a small dent in the watch chain links. He complained to Tarazz about it but said Tarazz service handled the situation effectively and politely, and had sent over a new tagheur watch within 2 weeks.

That said, anyone knows how Tarazz charges for shipping to Asia? I've used comgateway and vpost before to ship items from the US to HK, but they charge an exhorbitant premium for it. I don't recommend it unless they're having some sort of promotion.

Have you bought from Tarazz before? How secure are they?

    Yes I have.

Their website is safe and secured, you may read their guide tour for the security information. Understand the transaction is encrypted. BTW, since the company I am working for is their global logistics partner so I know the background.=P

I received their email after signing up with them. They're apparently a growing business in this economic climate. I just checked out Tarazz.com website and they are increasing their coverage to 11 countries in Asia.

I'm quite excited about their new Japanese product line, might want to get the Takoyaki Maker but I'm sure the wife has something to say about that...
