REPORTS TO: CCTV Operator Supervisor

 Job Purpose:
To monitor and operate a 24-hour CCTV operation by using cameras radios and ancillary equipment integrated into the Police control Room. Making appropriate pro-active and reactive decisions when circumstances dictate.

 Accountabilities:

• Work as a member within the partnership scheme between Police and District Council.

• Monitor and operate CCTV cameras to their maximum potential.

• Monitor, operate and communicate using the various radio systems in support of above.

• Responsible for videotape management following appropriate policies and procedures.

• Operate all equipment within the CCTV unit.

• Communicate and liaise closely with the Police Control Room.

• Liaison with all Police personnel and CCTV partners within the scheme.

• Use of Police computer systems to gather, monitor, record and communicate information.

• Maintain manual records and general administration tasks.

• To be aware of and follow CCTV codes of practice.

• To full your personal responsibilities in relation to the Safety Police and Plan
