No computer, no internet - no problem. There are lots of public places to get connected in the Netherlands. Most libraries in Dutch towns and cities have internet access, prices can be as low as €1/hour. You will find longer opening hours and more available terminals in internet cafes and internet coffeeshops.
In Holland there is a distinction between a cafe and a coffeeshop. A cafe is where you drink a cup of coffee and have a chat. A coffeeshop is pretty much the same as a cafe, except you can purchase and smoke cannibis/marijuana. The difference is the same for the internet versions; so if you do not like the smell of pot, don't go to an internet coffeeshop!
In Amsterdam, you can go to the Easyeverything internet cafe on Reguliersbreestraat. It is the biggest in the world, with 600 computers to choose from. You can get a variety of good deals (e.g. a 7 day pass for €6) and it's open 24 hours a day!
Internet cafés are popular targets for thieves and pickpockets, particularly in the centre of large cities. Keep an eye on your valuables at all times.
