Do you want to share your experiences abroad? Write them down and enter our article competition. Our editorial team will publish the best articles on Just Landed, and choose the winner of this year’s contributions.

Over the last years, we have received many comments and articles from our readers; the best of which we have published on the site. This competition is to encourage some more great contributions!

What kind of articles can you submit?

Anything that you would be interested to read! Think about the information and stories that you would have found useful before you left and when you arrived in a new country. Articles can be serious informative guides to getting things done or humorous stories about personal experiences.

Which topics can your article cover?

Your article can cover any of the topics that you find on Just Landed. Some of the most important topics are:

• Jobs: What advice would you give other people who’re looking for job in the country you moved to?
• Property: What are the most important things that people should consider when buying property abroad?
• Health: Your tips on hospitals, doctors, and health insurance.
• Language: How hard is it to learn the local language? What recommendations can you give to other people learning it?
• Travel & leisure: Have you traveled around the country you moved to? Share your experiences when you write a travel tip.
• Culture: Dealing with a foreign culture isn’t always easy. Tell us about your experiences abroad (either funny or serious), or let us know your recommendation on how to deal with the locals.

If your article or idea doesn’t fit any of these categories, don’t worry about it. Just send us your work and we will fit it in the appropriate place or create a new section for it.

Which languages can your write in?

You can submit your article in any language. Our editorial team currently handles English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch, but we’re quickly adding additional languages to Just Landed. Outstanding or very useful articles may be translated to other languages by our translation team.

Will you be cited as an author?

Yes, every article you submit to Just Landed will always be displayed with your name (you can also have a link to your own web page or blog). If you represent a company, institution or association, we can also include a short description and link at the bottom of your articles. By submitting an article to Just Landed you grant us the irrevocable right to edit and publish your article.

When is the deadline for submissions?

The deadline for the article competition is Dec. 31st 2007.

How can you submit an article to Just Landed?

You can submit your article via eMail to quoting “Article competition” in the subject line. Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (we only handle digital formats, no printed manuscripts). Please note that Just Landed reserves the right to publish every article submitted, even if it is not one of the winning articles.
