Health care in Portugal
Although I am an English person living in Portugal, I have to say that my experience so far is that the Portuguese Health Service is far superior to the English system. I am fortunate not to have any serious illnesses, but on the odd visit to the doctors, I have been seen quickly without an appointment and even with language barriers, there was no problem. You can also purchase many items at chemists that are prescription only in the UK. This is beneficial where you have a minor recurring problem but had to go to the doctors in the UK just to get a prescription. Hope that helps and your project goes well.

healthcare?
I am searching the net for information about not only the healthcare in Portugal, but also I need info about Social Work (I am a youthworker in Holland) I'm beginning to think there is no info cause there are no organisations that provide this type of care!!

Who can convince me otherwise?

health care in portugal
hello, i am doing my project on Portugal and i need to know few things if any of you would be kind to provide me with info. i would greatly appreciate it. - what types of care are covered and what types of care are not covered;1. who gets care and who doesn’t; who receives “free” care and who has to “pay” for care; and last what is the general focus of care. if u have any info on this would really appreciate it thank you
