Taking money into South Africa

Hi there, I'm moving to South Africa at the end of the year with my South African partner and I wanted to know how best to transfer money to SA and what taxes I may have to pay.
I read that I can only take R 5,000 in bank notes into the country.
How do I find out about what taxes I have to pay to take money into the country and how i can do this.

I moved to S.A.last year. You can actualy bring any amount of money with you.I actually withdrawn all my money in europe and exchaned it for the best rates available at the time.If you transfer your money via bank ,you loose out.
