• Choosing a school for your children, regardless of what country you are coming from, can be one of the most important decisions you are making. We have found that many of the 'private' and for-profit schools that claim to provide an international education are unfortunately, sorely lacking in educational quality.
Based on our family's experience, I would recommend avoiding Haut Lac Bilingual International School in Vevey. The administration is disorganized, lacking in educational focus and not able to provide a curriculum in line with the expectations of other countries' systems. And, it is not international, but a UK based system, and also they do not participate in any international school industry wide testing, so therefore are not accountable to external standards.
There are many other schools in the area to choose from.

I would very much disagree with that, Haut lac is a great school and has greatly imprved since its opening only several years ago therefore it is true changes are still in progress but I would say it is one to avoid. In addition, it is probably the cheapest international school around in this area and the IB pass rate is good.
