  • Go to http://www.freedomcalls.com.au  for more info
If your phone service allows you to call Australian landlines, then you can call anywhere in the world for free using freedomcalls.com Each call is unlimited, just dial the local access number and then dial the international number you wish to call.

Freedomcall is offering limited time LANDLINE Access Numbers, tell your friends and the more people that use their Access Number, they will keep the landlines for a long time.

This VoIP hack exploits the unlimited international calling provided by Freedomcalls. When we last reviewed Freedomcalls, they only had Australian Mobile access numbers making it very expensive to use. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to see Freedomcalls offering their services through Australian landlines as well. Freedomcalls, under their Promo Offer, is offering its international calling services through 6 Australian cities:

    1. Melbourne – 03 9095 7222
    2. Sydney – 02 9086 9222
    3. Brisbane – 07 3166 8111
    4. Perth – 08 6363 5111
    5. Adelaide - 08 7221 2444
    6. Canberra - 02 6223 2622

Now all we need is to be able to reach these numbers for free. Fortunately, calling Australian landline numbers is extremely cheap and even free. Most of the Betamax clones like Jumblo or SmartVoIP offer free calling to Australian landlines. If you do not mind shorter call lengths of 10 minute, Poketalk offers free calls to Australian landlines. The maximum call duration, however, is limited to 10 minutes.

If you are in the US, you can also receive calls for free. But if you are outside USA or Canada, you can get a free USA virtual number (USA DID) here. That’s it, you are all set to make free calls to over 70 countries. Currently you can call to countries like:

Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada , Chile, China , Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus , Czech Rep, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, French Antilles, Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guam, Hong Kong , Hungary, Iceland, India , Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Laos , Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau , Malaysia , Mariana , Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, San Marino , Singapore , South Africa, South Korea , Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand , Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, U.S.A. , US Virgin Islands, Vatican City, Venezuela, Vietnam (Ho Chi Min City only)

Once you are connected to Freedomcalls, you need to enter 1 (to make calls) and then dial the number that you want to be connected in the format: 011 + Country Code + Destination number + #. For Example to call India, you would dial – 0011+91+ 9912345678 + #
