Probably the reason why Home Office people told u on the phone that they can't "deport" (remove) ur abusive husband until is visa is over, is that his visa is still valid.

By the way, never let family force you! This is Britain, everybody has rights, you as a woman have rights, too! We are not living in a crap country where women dont have rights. Do not ever let any man or anybody abuse you, please! And dont let family force you, its nasty to force people to do things.
If your husband keeps harrassing you, beating u up, just call the police!!!! And make sure u dont get for him Indefinite leave to remain. Let him p**** out of this country. We dont need no abusive immigrants.
