I hope someone has some info for me. My husband is a german citizen with a german passport but has never lived in germany. We want to move to germany but I am not sure what we have to do. He will just arrive in Germany or does he have to do anything special? I am a South African and have a 2.5year old he also has a german passport. Can we apply for government assistance(dole?) just to get us going and what kind of assistance will it be. Would I need any kind of permits or visas. He would like to be self-employed as he is in South Africa, is that possible. I would also later like to work. Hope someone can help. Thank you
