jobs in Canada

I am looking for information regarding the regulations for foreigners finding jobs in Canada. I went to the typical monster.com, hotjobs.com but I did not find anything specific. Can anybody help?

if you have a job offer, no problem. If you don't, you need to be a landed immigrant in order to have the right to work here.

It is like catch 22, because in 99.99% of the cases, nobody will give you a job offer in Canada if you do not have the job permit in the first place. That said, under exceptional situations, some individuals with extremely rare skills (or in high demand like it is now in Alberta with the oil boom, or university professors/researchers), they may get an offer and even do all the job permit paperwork on your behalf

hard for a foreigner without job permit
if you do not have a job permit, it is hard. It of course depends on your profession. Things like science researchers of university professors have no problem. After all the hiring cycles allow them to wait for the corresponding job permits to be processed. The problem is that for jobs that are to be filled within weeks, chances are that no employer will even consider getting you a job permit because it can take a few months...
