Any club of mountain lovers in Geneva ?

Hi there!

I am "just about to land" in Geneva in August with no other (personal) objective than exploring the Alps. I have read the post "Switzerland is boring" and thanks God, I come with no special expectation of integration - except one within a mountain afficionados club or something like that, should its members be Swiss ot Tombuctuans... !
Anyone could help me on that by giving names of associations, sending me links or whatever ?
I am a 27-year-old French, still totally no-prejudiced against Switzerland and the Swiss... (and crossing fingers that it remains such)
