I am Turkish and will be moving to Greece soon. I do not hate them I hope They do not too) Honestly I can say that except language and religion Greeks are the only nation which look like Turkish a lot... Music, food, people etc.. I believe "the hate ' is being manufactured by politicians...
after 400 years of slavery the similarities are inevitable..although the friendly relations of the last years Turks and Greeks will never live harmonic.there is no hate,but no love either
yes there unfortunately still is some hate, I am Turkish and I live in New York America and I was friends with a Greek person, one day he finds out I am Turkish and he goes all passive agressive and trying to insult Turkey every chance he gets around his other friends, same thing happened to my parent's store when a greek family went in to buy things but then found out that the owners were turkish they left immediately, maybe its not violent but you can't say there is no hate left

The turks done some terrible things to our country and people and they continue to do so. unfortunately we will never accept turkey into the European union and there will always be some rough spots between us. but we must keep in mind just because a majority of the turkish people have hurt us does not mean all of turkey's people are bad.

Yes, Greeks do hate turks. They have all but castrated the Partriarchade in Constantinople, killing the history of the Greek Orthodox Church by exiling most Greeks and making it difficult on the poor few that survive there. I dont understand that. why greeks usualy still hate our. we lived together lots of years and Greeks are our brothers/sisters. And is only our politic wrong??? As the Balkans and Turkey move forward together and the regional economies become increasingly interdependent, nationalisms and the prejudices they breed will become obsolete. Living standards and incomes will gradually rise, and with that, the level of public discourse and civil society will rise as well.
The people of the Balkans and Turkey have everything in common. They are all rightful heirs to thousands of years of shared history, whether they are ready to acknowledge it or not.

Yes there is still tention between the Greeks and the Turks. Most people who live in Turkey do not see it because simply they don't interact with greek people in their daily lives. The reason that Turkey invaded Cyprus was because the Greek Cypriot population wanted to unite Cyprus with Greece and saw Turkish Cypriots as obsticals. So they began to musrder the Turkish Cypriot minority.

Greeks practiced a system of ethnic cleansing on the Turkish population from 1955 - 1974 when the Turkish peace keeping forces arrived. Greece sponsored Terrorist group Eoka B to murder as many Turks as possible, so they could unite with Greece. Greeks should be ashamed of what they did. What did the turkish population do to deserve this barbaric treatment?

No they dont as they used to do. Please, dont write crap if you haven`t been outside of your little village. I`ve been all over Europe, I`ve met hundreds of Turks in Turkey, Denmark, Germany and Austria and all were friendly and kind hearted. Also, 23 Turks have visited the islands with a group from Instanbul and all of them have treated like greeks by the locals. This hate generated by some hardcore ethnicists back then, but now things are getting better and better day by day. Don`t type stupid things if you don`t know anything about the issue, because it`ll make you look like an uneducated ass.
