Yes there is a tax called "Grundsteuer". But this kind of tax is quite low compared to other countries. The rateable value for the tax is still unchanged since 30 years. Austrias last financial minister Grasser wanted to raise the Grundsteuer, but he failed because Socialdemocrats and Freedom Party were against it.
