  • I think so

As far as I know at least during daylight hours, it's not permitted for trucks to be on the road on Sundays. Can't remember what time they can go back on though, but have a feeling it's before 10pm.

  • French sunday bans

a 7.5 tonner 14 metres long. Are you sure? that's over 45 ft. It must be articulated then?

I'm fairly sure the restriction does not apply to under 7.5t.

You will find your definative answer by searching on www.trucknetuk.com Round table.

  • Link to French Law on Heavy Goods Vehicle Driving on Sunday

I am about to embark on a Sunday journey in France with a 7.5 Ton truck so I have researched this matter.

The simple answer is that there is a france-wide ban on sunday driving BUT it only applies to vehicles OVER 7.5 ton maximum authorised load.

    Full details are at:
    http://www.bison-fute.equipement.gouv.fr/en/

Just click on "Circulation restrictions" button on the right for a full pdf document (only Internet explorer not firefox works to download it).

    Hope this is helpful

yes you can mostly but will take longer to complete the job, and fuel economy will be down, when you add the extra fuel cost and the extra driver wages (could add an extra day or two to the round trip) could end up being a false economy
