PROGRAM CAMPS INTERNATIONAL BUILDING SITES OF SOLIDARITY WINTER AND SUMMER 2009 IN TOGO
The word " building site " generally evokes the realization of great work with means human, financial and material very significant.
Being a voluntary camp building site, it is one 3 weeks period, during which people of various cultures, religions and nationalities put together their energy to achieve a realization with the profit of a given community.
This experiment of living and working collectively creates a conscience of different people, a contact with the local population and a feeling of concrete solidarity.
This project or camp building site makes it possible to the volunteers to meet people of various nationalities and to support the relations South-South and North-South. To put the volunteers together, it is a means of being observed, of speaking, of communicating themselves, of listening themselves, of being discovered, of including themselves/understanding, of knowing of advantage, of exchanging themselves technically...
Thus any volunteer working with KDSV must have this spirit and act as consequence to make useful and pleasant his stay with the TOGO

PRESENTATION OF THE LOCALITE:
AHEPE: is a village located at the North-East of the Maritime area and makes leave the prefecture of YOTO. To go there, of Lome the way hopes 92 km while passing by the town of Tsévié. It is separated from the town of Aného, a coastal city of 60 km. Agriculture is the principal activity and the population is very open and accessible.
ACTIVITIES: AFFORESTATION AND FAMILY INTEGRATION
Work will consist in the search of stakes, the preparation of the sites to be retimbered, the transport of the seedlings, the ground setting of the seedlings.
The volunteers will have also on this camp building site to organize meetings of sensitizings of the villagers for the follow-up, the protection of the seedlings and the environmental protection.
The integration of the volunteers in families of reception. The volunteers will take part in the activities (pastoral, domestic) of their respective family of reception. TSEVIE-DALAVE is a locality located at forty km in the North-East of Lome. The population is primarily made up of peasants. Agriculture is the principal activity. The population is very accessible and very hospital. The tropical fruits and vegetables all will be with go without forgetting TOGOGIN (local VOTKA)
ACTIVITIES: ARTISTIC AND SENSITIZING VIH/SIDA
This building site will make it possible to make discover the knowledge to make and the artisanal techniques of other people; to give people of the other horizons, a larger cultural opening and to better include/understand and positiver our cultural differences. The volunteers will be initiated with the techniques of batik, the confession of pearl, the percussion and dances African togolaise more precisely.
The population in general and the youth in particular of the rural mediums are confronted with serious problems connected not only to primary health but also to the nondesired pregnancies and the sexually transmitted diseases of which the AIDS. We miss the financial possibilities but we must contribute our modest share to try to cure these plagues which block seriously with the durable development of our mediums, which, far from the cities and of the eyes are forgotten a little. The sensitizing of the populations will be done of door with door, the distribution of the leaflets; and of the condoms; and if possible the film projection on the VIH-SIDA.

VOGAN: is a small city located at the SOUTH-EAST of Togo. It seems more séant to live, of going to the field or arranging in the capacity as craftsman. Come and thus you will eat the vogan gali (flour of manioc). The rural population practises almost Agriculture and or the trade and as everywhere in Togo the population is sympathetic nerve and very cordial.
ACTIVITIES: SENSITIZING VIH/SIDA AND HYGIENIC SUPPORT
The population in general and the youth in particular of the rural mediums are confronted with serious problems connected not only to primary health but also to the nondesired pregnancies and the sexually transmitted diseases of which the AIDS. We miss the financial possibilities but we must contribute our modest share to try to erase these plagues which block seriously with the durable development of our mediums, which, far from the cities and of the eyes are forgotten a little. The sensitizing of the populations will be done of door with door, the distribution of the leaflets; and of the condoms; and if possible the film projection on the VIH-SIDA.
The volunteers will make with the children of the locality of the workshops of colouring, of animation and during these workshops, the volunteers will inform the children on the conditions of hygiene for example; to wash the hands before and after each meal and with the cleaning ladies on how they will supervise the conditions of hygiene of their children and distribution of the mosquito nets impregnated for the fight against the paludism which kills more than the VIH-SIDA with the TOGO.

The volunteers will give remedial courses in the following matters: English, French, Physics and Mathematics with pupils of the secondary and general culture with children from 5 to 15 years of the primary school which could not leave on holiday. Entertaining activities, of animation will be organize with them. The volunteers will give courses in the matters of their choice. KPALIME: With its soft climate of mountain, Kpalimé makes it possible to its visitors to discover sites and monuments like the presidential Castle, the caves with the bats, the Monasteries of Dzogbégan and Kuma, as well as the cascades of kpimé and Aklowa.
It is a Town of a great diversity of landscapes and activities agricultural with tropical products such as: The banana, the orange, the anana, the lawyer, cocoa, coffee and cotton etc. The visit of the center-schools of sculpture of arts, batiks and of macramé makes it possible to the visitors to carry memories.
ACTIVITIES: ANIMATION WITH THE CHILDREN AND DISTRIBUTION OF GIFTS / FAMILY INTEGRATION
The volunteers organize with the children of the locality of animation, the plays, the entertaining activities and of leisures and if possible they will assemble small plays. PRESENTATION OF THE LOCALITE:
Lome: It is the capital of the TOGO. The town of Lome is a very African city, it is a city where the ground red, the green of the gardens and the multiple colors of the houses mix. The centre town dates from the beginning of the 18 2nd century, and one finds there some remainder of architecture colonial like the cathedral of Crowned Heart, the wharf built by German. Not very far from there, one finds the Large Market, with a large hall of 3 stages, it is truly there that Lome beats of its full. All there is found. On the first floor, one finds the kingdom of famous " CHICK BENZ " who are the commercial ones of loincloth who reign as a true queen on their stage. They sell multiple loincloths. The littoral slices literally with the frenzy which it can reign at the market. The fishermen quietly push their enormous dugouts with the sea which presents a beach at fine sand. In the west of the town of Lome, there is a significant palate of the congresses inside whose a museum is. Excentré, compared to the center of the city, one finds in Akodésséwa the market of the fetishes and one finds fetishes there, gons, grigris, a market reserved well on to the initiates.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The participation is opened in everyone having 18 years a minimum age and distinction. For less than 18 years, in addition to their inscription, it will be necessary a parental authorization for them. The occupational qualification does not import. The volunteer will pay expenses of participation which are payable on arrival of the volunteer with the KDSV. The daily spots that are the purchases, the kitchen, the crockery..., are made in turn by small teams which will be trained on the camp building site by the organizer. The volunteers will have three meals per day to know the breakfast, the lunch and the dinner.
LODGING
The volunteers are placed in the buildings (schools, center of young people, houses...). KDSV can offer housing in Lome with volunteers who want to remain a few days before and after the building sites.
RECEPTION AT THE AIRPORT
A group of KDSV will accomodate all the foreign volunteers with the airport and the conduit in the house of housing and afterwards on the site of the building site. After your inscription on our site: http://www.sosvol.itgo.com and in order to organize your reception at the airport, we ask you to communicate the references to us of the flight, your dates and hours of arrivals.
VACCINATION
- the vaccine against Hepatitis B and a treatment against paludism is recommended.
- the vaccine against the yellow fever is obligatory.
BANK AND MONEY
CFA is the money used in Togo; 1 € = 655 F CFA.
One can withdraw money with the Visa card but only with the seat from bank BTCI in Lome. The TRAVEL CHEQUE also walk in the principal agency from bank BIA in Lome.
AIMED
All the foreign volunteers are obliged to have the visa to go to Togo. You can have the visa with the embassy of the TOGO in your home country or once arrived at the airport of Lome.
