Traditional Austrian food - restaurant recommendation

  • During a recent trip I visited the Restaurant Pürstner in Vienna. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian food in very atmospheric surroundings, and it's a little bit off the tourist track, though right in the centre of town and a few minutes walk from Stephansdom, at Riemergasse 10 (also close to the Park Ring). I had lunch there and was very impressed with the food quality, service and prices (I had a soft drink and a Blunzengröstl so huge I couldn't finish it - which is a first! - and it only cost 8 euros). I'll definitely be making further visits!

    Hi Robert,

Have to agree with you, we had a great meal there; we would have gone back if we had more time.
