a good hotel and a good breakfast in bahrain

  • Dear All:
I will be going to Bahrain with my wife in September. We might stay one night there so can anyone recommend a good, family oriented hotel to us? Although, I prefer the cheaper the better, for my wife’s sake, I am willing to spend the money to rent a room in a reasonable hotel.
Finally, even if we don’t spend the night, when we arrive in Bahrain from Saudi Arabia via the bus in the morning, we would like to have a very good breakfast before starting our day. Can anyone recommend to us a place open before or at 9:30 AM that serves a really good, reasonable breakfast.
Thanks in advance for any info you can give us.

There are some great apartments for rental in Jufair for the night or the weekend.

I have stayed at Layala aparmtents a number of times ....two big bedrooms cable tv dvd swimming pool etc 30 bd after bargaining.

Much better value than the hotels.

  • Breakfast & Hotel in Bahrain

Hi! Upstairs Downstairs Restaurant (Adliya) do a great breakfast for about 3BD - more English style than the one available at Ric's Country Kitchen, Juffair, also an option, with American food.

As for somewhere to stay - the Elite apartments are nice and some have their own coffeeshops too.

If you want to push the boat out a bit, try the Merceure Hotel right in Seef - bet you could get a nice breakfast there and I hear great reports from other Saudi-based expats who use it. Plus your wife can go off shopping in the Malls there (walking distance) while you can go see a movie, or do something else - very few men like shopping!

    Hope this helps.
