I have been offered a housing arragement by the company I will be working for in downtown Toronto in Richmond Hill. How long does it take to get from one side to the other in the rush hour?

it depends on the hour
generally speaking it could be 20 minutes or 1 hour. The problem with Richmond Hill is that the public transportation sucks, so you MUST drive to come downtown Toronto
