As the parent of a wonderful adult son who became addicted to a narcotic, I have read countless books and materials on this topic. This is the single most helpful source I have found. The advice is both hard-hitting and compassionate, and the way in which it is presented is very readable and accessible. If someone you love is addicted to alcohol or a drug, book sometimes are help to us. Don't give up. Read some book advises and get started. Good luck to you and your loved person.
