    SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

Approximate 05 years in heavy engineering and construction, both on and offshore. Experienced in, but not limited to, petrochemical, power generation, mining, communication tower erection, shutdowns, harbour works, offshore and general construction. Specific areas include, steel erection, scaffolding, mechanical and pipe installation, bridgework, heavy lifting.
During this time I have held various positions, ranging from worker to supervisor. I have worked in various overseas locations for the last 05 years and have supervised both expat and national staff. Some of my previous positions have entailed the Rigger Supervisor of all rigging/steel erection/scaffolding activities onsite. This has amounted to over 12 cranes and 200 men on occasions. I have extensive experience with the safe set up and operation of heavy duty cranes and winches, for both single and multi crane lifts, and am familiar with all rigging and scaffolding equipment, standards and regulations. I am also able to produce lift plans and method statements for these operations. I am familiar with rigging loft and register documentation, and inspection procedures for cranes and loose lifting equipment.
I am a firm believer in the importance of safety in the workplace, and this is reflected in my own work practices, and those of anyone reporting to me.

    PROFESSIONAL INTEREST
I have experienced in working on a petro chemical site for SASOL SYNTHETIC FUELS. I am interested in working for a company, where I can put into practice, my training as well as my experience in the field. SAFETY
Safety is always my first priority before any work will take place. First thing in the morning is to conduct a safety toolbox talk with my group of people to make them aware of safety and all hazards involving the rigging and plant activities. I see that every job is done as safely as possible. I was appointed as alternative safety representative. Safety recognition for 3 years without a disabled injury.
