Retraining to work in France

  • I'd like to emigrate to france. I have a BA and MA from US schools but I'm re-entering the job market and have decided to retrain. Would I be better off with a US MBA,Law Degree or a Registered Nursing Licence based on the job market in France? I'm told there is a shortage of nurses but the salaries are low. Help!

An MBA will be useful as this will be recognised and is appreciated in the French job-market.

A US law degree will restrict you as it is not of much practical use in France as the legal system is very different. However, this may give opportunities corporate side (for instance with a large US organsation's French office).

A nursing qualification might be useful, but you will still need to get it recognised in France afterwards. And you're right the salaries are relatively low. You could do this training in France though as it would mean you would improve your French at the same time.
