mobile phone limits

• My husband has just bought me a new french mobile phone, SFR, on a prepaid basis. I only use the mobile for emergencies so to my horror I realise on reading the booklet that there is a time limit on the vouchers. My english mobile, Orange , has no such limit. Am I being stupid or just misunderstood the instructions. If SFR do only have prepaid limits on their vouchers does anybody know if, in France, there is a mobile phone company that operates a prepaid voucher system without the time limit as in the UK
