I heard that the Germans put a photo on their CVs? Is that really true? And if so, do I HAVE to put one in my CV or is this optional?

Better to put up photo
Hi Sebastian! It's true that in Germany you put a photo on your CV (as well as your birth date and your marrital status). Obviously, nobody can force you to do so, but since this is a standard, I would strongly advice you to put up your photo as well.
