Work Permit for Freelance/contract jobs for US Firm

• I an Indian National in Ireland on spouse visa and was working previously in an Indian IT firm as Techinical Lead (Web Technologies).Currently I got an offer from the headquarters of the same company in US to work from home on freelance/contract basis. Want to know whether I can obtain work permit for this offer or do I need to register my own business to do freelance jobs. What are the options available for me to take up this offer in Ireland.
