Land near Trieste...

• Hello, today my father told me that my grandfather bought some land years ago in Italy, near Trieste.
  He doesn't have any information about this land - we can't ask my grandfather as he passed away few years back, so I was wondering is there any way to check if there is a land there that is owned by my grandfather and now my father. Is there an online tool to search for property or we need to find an Italian lawyer to check it for us. Thanks in advance.
