okay i am really struggling with the kanji. I am terrible at memorizing. does anyone have any good tricks? i learn best by engaging with stuff, so any games i can play with myself that might help me learn?

Sign game
A trick I used was to learn signs first and branch from there. I carried around a little pocket pad and a pen and wrote down the kanji from a different sign each day. Then i learned that kanji. on my way to the store or to work i practiced by reading all the signs!
