Marriage Visa?

• Ok so i have been dating a girl from Japan for a few years (worked there as an English teacher for a couple years and then she came to the US to finish studying). we got engaged in the US and we are doing two weddings - one in the US and one in Japan. The Japan one is first... anyone know if I need any special visa? Is there a such thing as a marriage visa? we´re not spouses yet so that one doesn´t work i don´t think :/

  I don´t think there is a special visa you get just to get married. Once you are married you get the spouse visa to stay in Japan but you know that already... maybe try the Japanese embassy website?

  you don´t need a visa just to get married in japan if you are from the U.S. but there is a bunch of town hall paperwork you need to do to make it a legal japanese marriage
