how much time it takes for a work visa

• Hello,
  
  My name is Muhammad Ahmed. I am from Pakistan. I got a job in kuwait at manager level in a telecom operator.
  
  I have been told by my prospective boss that they expect me to join in 3 weeks time so based on the accepted job offer, I resigned from my job in Pakistan.
  
  However now it has been more than 40 days my visa is stuck with interior ministry of kuwait for clearance.
  
  Can you advise, what is the standard time of getting this visa and my name has any impact on potential delay??
