  • World Moving - Don't go there

Hi - just a warning to anyone contemplating using World Moving based in Auckland for any removal services. They use a host of partner companies in the guise of offering "worldwide and national" delivery which they have no control over. Their communication is appalling and apart from collecting their fee you will never hear from them even when they have lost your goods. Our property was packed in early December and here we are in April waiting in Sydney for our dining suite to arrive because it was accidentally sent to Wellington (nb not only did they not read the manifest, but also the written instructions, the labels on the items themselves, or the legend that was provided onsite to show what items were where!). Oh and to make matters worse they have the gall to expect us to foot a second quarantine bill for their stuff up.

Hi - be aware that containers brought into New Zealand will inevitably by checked by MAF Biosecurity for which you will be charged a small fee (~$80). Many New Zealand removal companies will use this as excuse to demand hundreds of dollars for additional handling and storage before releasing your goods even if you have an all-inclusive contract. Check the fine print!

  • World Moving and Storage New Zealand Limited - Don't use

I had exactly the same experience as 'not happy Jan'. Awful service and they stole our Bose Sounddock (NDZ$600), plus all of our boxes were full of mould, handbags, suits - all ruined. Their response is to ignore your e-mails. My name is Grant Lawson if they want to read this and contact me.
