What is the cost of living in Oman

• I am looking to work in Oman, however the job I have been offered pays only about 10,000 omani rials which is equal to about 18000 british pounds. I have bought my own house in Oman as I plan to live there permenantly. I just wondered what is the cost of living compared to the UK. Will I be able to save more than if I were living in the UK or not. I'd like someone to compare the cost of living between the two countries.
