Child immunisation

Compulsory before school enrollment

Child immunisation

The Singapore Health Promotion Board (HPB) requires that all children be immunised against various diseases from birth and continuing as they get older. Children will not be admitted into schools until they have had such treatment.

Immunisations can be carried out at any general practitioner’s clinic or polyclinic and are recorded in a ‘Health Booklet’. While all children born in Singapore are issued a booklet at birth, one must be bought for any expat children. This can be done at your closest polyclinic or the HPB.

The diseases immunised against are:

  • Tuberculosis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussis
  • Tetanus
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type-B
  • Pneumococcal Disease
  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella

For a comprehensive schedule of child immunisations, see the HPB immunisation chart .
