House Prices

  • Can somebody offer some impartial predictions on where UK house prices are going in the next few years? (Reasons as well as hunches appreciated). Tks.

I think house prices will continue to rise in the UK for many years to come. Although they shouldn't rise as steeply as they have done in recent years (that was the result of an awakening of the market to undervalued property prices). The supply of houses will (thankfully) remain fairly constrained throughout the UK, with planning permission remaining difficult to obtain. As demand will probably continue to increase (and certainly won't fall), prices will continue to rise. It really is as simple as that (although there might be year on year fluctuations).

Is the terror threat having an effect on the property market? Or is the market less fragile and variable?
