Interviews

  • Are there any great differences between the job interview process in Britain and those of other countries?

  • Not really

Although I am British myself, I have had experience of job interviews outside of the UK. In my own experience there has been little variation in the aims of the interviewer. They are looking for someone who has confidence without being arrogant and someone they can trust. If you can portray yourself well in these two aspects then you shouldn't have a problem with a job interview in any country. Obviously there will be international variations in the format of interviews (such as different rounds, presentation exercises etc.), however, these vary as much between industries as they do between countries.
