Triple play

Landline, internet and IP TV

The three main telecommunication competitors now provide a single broadband package: fixed telephone, internet and IP TV. This is the best option if you move to Sweden as it offers the lowest rates.

The main telephone operator in Sweden is Teliasonera (or as it is known in Sweden Telia). It is the successor of Televerket, the old state monopoly company, and is the result of a merger with the main Finnish state company, Sonera. Its main rivals are the Norwegian company Telenor and the Swedish Tele2. These three companies all offer triple play, telephone, TV and internet through a broadband connection. Telia and Tele2 are the two main mobile phone providers.

If you settle in Sweden, you will need to get connected for phone and internet. Today, most Swedes opt for “triple play”. If you want a broadband connection, just contact your chosen company. Most accommodation in Sweden will already be connected to the landline network and the process will be relatively straightforward. To get the best deal just compare the prices of the three different telecommunication networks and their current offers:
