best Canadian cities to raise a family

  • I have a dilemma on whether I should move to Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax or Montreal. Where is the quality of life better?

  • Best Canadian cities

Toronto = Most Connected, not necessarily the prettiest. Downtown is OK, some areas OK. Suburbs to the North East and North West of the city are in bad shape.

Vancouver = Bautiful Geography, expensive living. If you do not mind that it is rainy and cloudy most of the time, then move there.

Montreal = Magnificent city. Cold in winter, great cultural activity like in Toronto (and some say even more than Toronto). Quite closed to English speakers (especially considering that legally, the language of the province, even for businesses, is French.

Halifax = Magnificent summers, brutal winters. It is definitely a small (provincial) city.

Ottawa = boring adult life, however perhaps the safest city to raise a family

The above feedback is helpful, but there are so many communities and considerations that dig deeper than that.

You should engage a Relocation Management firm who can analyze your needs and work with you to find the ideal community.
