Question about healthcare system change...

  • I'm moving to Canada from Finland for few years at least, in about 2 years. I'm in university in Finland so I cannot move just yet, but when I graduate I will move to Ottawa, where my fiancee is starting her University studies this autumn, with my fiancee.

I'm also permanently ill with CVID and I need human gammaglobulins infusion weekly.. And this stuff I need is really costy (with this moments exhange it's about 120 CAD per 10 milliliters and I need 70 milliliters per week). In Finlands health insurance system I can get it mostly paid by society, and only pay little myself.

Living outside Finland makes them drop me off Finlands system in a year (maybe even instantly when I move to Canada, it can change details coming clearer) after moving away... and question is, how can I make sure that I get into Canadien system so that I don't drop totally off these systems even for a moment because it's important for my life that I get this stuff, and doctors check me sometime?

Thanks for your help. This stuff is so hard to find out.
