Helping my partner come to the UK

  • Hello

I am just looking for a little bit of help and advice please happy I have a partner who lives in India..I live in the UK, I was born here happy

My partner and I have setup a business together and during the time we were working together we got closer and now want to some day get married. I am currently getting a divorce so I am not sure if this makes things harder for us but we want to bring him to the UK asap and we want to start our lives together.

I do own a house and I do earn very well, but my partners application was rejected last week and we are feeling very down and not sure what to do next.

    Any advice?

  • Successful fiance visa in 12 working days

    Hi

Well the first thing is to get a crystal clear undersanding on the reasons for the reject. Next look at the entire application from the visa officers shoes and look for the weaker areas of your application, kinda devil's advocate if you will, some points cant and shouldnt be changed and some can be for eg: finances, in your case, this isnt a problem as you pointed out.

About the divorce - yes i would see that as a hurdle, gettin him there while you are not yet divorced would be difficult as the government doesnt have assurance that the marriage is even possible though both parties are willing.

I lived in India and the UAE and my fiance made trips to both places before we applied for the fiance visa which held us in good stead.

The fact that you own property and earn well is a big plus, your a financially sound sponsor, one of the most important aspects of such an application.

This is just my 2 cents, let me know if you have any querries. I recently got my fiance visa, it took 12 working days.
