700,000 Backlog

In 2006 the Feds want to increase the number of immigrants to 300,000. Keep in mind that a backlog of 700,000 cases exsist.
Ive been waiting almost 2 years now and nothing yet.I wish to see the glass as half full...i agree with what the person said.."your life is on hold"

The minister for immigration did address this issue. A Number of people are being hired just to help clear and process the backlog. I agree that opening up the gates to more immigrants without first clearing the backlog is'nt too wise.
