Fresh

• Hey! For all those of you coming to the UK for less than a year, and who don't use their mobiles relentlessly, I can recommend getting a fresh sim card. The card costs £10 and comes with £10 credit for calls. All calls cost 15p (any network, any time), and text messages cost 5p. There is no line rental, and you can use the sim in your current phone. Pretty good deal I think. Fresh are an indirect mobile phone operator, and I bought the card through carphone warehouse www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk

  Tío, I'm totally with you on this one. The only thing is that your friends get charged about 40p a minute to ring you, unless their as intelligent as you are and are on Fresh as well.

  The deal's great, but the service isn't. It took me over two weeks to finally get my Sim Card connected, with the customer helpline (remember Fresh has no physical branches) being next to useless. Who do they employ to run phonelines??!!
