Which language should I learn if living in Bern?

I'm an Australian married to a Swiss man and we are contemplating living in Bern. My husband is originally from Geneva. I know a little French but no German. I have always worked and I'm keen to find work in Switzerland after learning a language but the question is German or French..can you advise?

For Bern it's German
The official language in Bern is German as it is part of Switzerland where this is the predominant language.
