is 60k US is enough for a family with 5 members

• Hi all i have an offer to work in dubai the company offer me 50K us is this enough for us? my children are 3 years and 2 years old please help me on that

  Where are you based now and what is your income now? $50K sounds pretty low, yet I do not know what your job would be. I myself are moving in a month and have only 1 daughter and my wife. I certainly would not move for $50K. Do you have additional allowances?

  thanks for your replay well im now in iraq and my post will be branch manger my additional allowances will be commissions in the end of the year along with insurance

  I have just moved to Dubai and frankly you spend money at a frightening rate. It all depends upon your existing lifestyle and expectations, if you are used to a European/US style, then you'll need a lot more than $60k - I would say a total financial package of at least x2 to sustain a European/US lifestyle.

  dude this is 60x3.5 = 210.000 AED per one month , you can live as a king.
  can you find me a job with you even if you are going to pay me half of that amount ?? hahahah joking.

  loco - i think that refers to annual basic salary , not monthly. monthly 50k is heaven, but annually it is nothing my friend. your villa for 5 alone will cost you 50k! so how do you expect to live? inflation and rents are a killer in dubai! true killers!
